Gizmo Dorks PEI Sheet, 10″ x 10″ 3D Printing Build Surface with 3M 468MP Adhesive Tape

PEI (Polyetherimide) sheets provide a 3D printing build surface that requires no tape, slurry, or adhesive. ABS and PLA both stick extremely well to the surface, which eliminates the need for support rafts used for better adhesion. The printed 3D parts will adhere to the PEI surface on a heated bed, and it will release or pop off when cooling down.

How to Use:

Cut the PEI sheet to size by scoring with a hobby knife. Remove the blue protective film from the PEI sheet. Carefully apply the 3M 468MP Transfer Tape and use it to stick the PEI to the print bed.

Once the PEI sheet is attached, re-level your print bed and you are ready to go!

It helps to wipe the surface down with isopropyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, or soap in between prints. This will ensure the PEI is clean, and help adhesion. Light sanding with 2400 grit paper will also give the PEI sheet more life.

  1. Great stuff. After several days printing on this I … Great stuff. After several days printing on this I have thrown out all my “abs glue” and will never go back to the mess of abs glue on kapton. No problems getting prints to stick. However, I would skip the 3M adhesive sheet. When I tried to peel the second cover sheet off the adhesive it stretched the adhesive into a non-flat surface. I scrapped the adhesive and I just lay the PEI on top of my al heated bed with a couple paper clamps. This allows me to lift the sheet from the bed if I…

  2. Not exactly what I expected, and much thicker than expected, but is working perfectly at the moment! I have a CTC Bizer Dual and I wanted to start printing ABS, the Kapton tape just wasn’t cutting it, so I bought this for it.Installation for me was simple, I cut it to the correct size for my printer, and attached it to the print surface with small binder clips. You will have to readjust the bed leveling and height of the Z-Axis as this is 0.8mm thick.Great product…
